Review : Yumchaa Loose Leaf Tea House

The Yumchaa on Parkway is one of our favourite places in Camden to go for a nice cup of tea or coffee and a little something sweet.

It's a lovely shabby-chic, cosy spot to meet up with friends or even to have a casual business meeting (as we often do) and is very close to the tube, meaning handy for all you out-of-(Camden)-towners. They have a huge selection of loose leaf teas and a nice array of savoury and sweet bites, like cakes sandwiches and scones.

They offer free wifi, which leads to a lot of people pitching up with their laptops, grabbing a chair and settling in for a few hours of out of the house work or just to surf the net for a bit without having a nosey roommate spying over their shoulders.

It can get quite busy at weekends, but all that means is that you might have to share a table or wait until a seat frees up. They also have a stand and a much smaller tea house in Camden Market, plus a few more dotted around the capital, but our fav is definitely the cafe on Parkway.

One thing worth noting if you decide to go is to make sure you are not in a rush, the service can sometimes be a bit slow compared to that of the speedy yet charmless high-street chains that we have all grown so used to.
