Review: La Petite Poissonnerie Primrose Hill Fishmongers

Any chef worth his weight knows that to make good food you need good products. Unfortunately, the old 'Butcher, Baker, Candlestick maker' days of the British high street have long gone, making those good products all the harder to find, but luckily in Camden you don't have to venture to far to find what you need.

At least not where fish is concerned.

La Petite Poissonnerie in Primrose Hill is run by French chef turned fishmonger Nic Rascle, who knows pretty much anything you could want to know about fish. The produce is sourced as locally as possible, they supply to a lot of the neighbouring restaurants AND they deliver through their online store. They also do a wide range of Japanese groceries and specialities like Sakes, Shochus and homemade dumplings.

And they sell wine. And caviar. And homemade fishfingers. Enough said.
